Hey there! Welcome to my first ever blog post! My name is Ricardo and I will be your host.

So, why start a blog you might ask…
Well, having an online presence has been in my mind for a while now. I have always wondered if I should start a YouTube channel or a blog. Due to an interesting arrangement of circumstances, I am finally going to do it!

And who am I and what is this blog about?
Well, I am a relaxed, easy-going guy, that loves adventures (the photo is supposed to show that ^^ )! I love to learn, so, this blog will be a bit about everything. My thoughts on different topics, important takeaways from different books, exercise and health tips and different experiences I have while travelling around the world. All of it in a relaxed, factual and well-thought manner. This blog was not created to transmit knowledge to the world. The goal of it is actually to document my life and thoughts for my future self and for the next generations… If along the way I can help other people in some way, that’s amazing and I hope it happens!

Anyway… why call the blog “Banana’s Splits” you might ask…
Well… it’s a long story… I will have a few clues here and there in the blog, so, if you stick around you will find out! Maybe I will give you an amazing recipe for a banana split xD we never know!

Lastly, what can you expect from this?
The structure of the whole thing is still not defined, but you can expect different collabs with other people that understand more than I do about certain subjects and a few videos to spice things up and keep it interesting!
As it is my first time doing this, I am still walking on eggshells, but, since right now I am in quarantine because of Coronavirus (people from the future, you should look it up. It was a strange time…), so, every Thursday I will post a new article in Portuguese at 21:00 CET. I will start posting in English in the future, but for now, I will focus on 1 language. In the meanwhile, I will keep tweaking the design and improve other stuff. If you have any idea for a future article or something you want me to talk about, comment and I will see if it is something I want to do! Maybe our interests align 😉
